HOW DOES A PUDU ROBOT ORIENTATE ITSELF

Infrared and optical camera localisation: Pudu robots utilise an infrared camera that is directed vertically upwards towards the ceiling. This camera works in conjunction with markers mounted optically on the ceiling to enable precise real-time localisation and navigation. This technology continuously captures the environment, ensuring very accurate orientation in space, even in dynamic or crowded settings.

RGBD camera for 3D sensing: To avoid obstacles, Pudu robots are equipped with advanced RGBD cameras that are mounted on the "neck" and chassis of the robot. These cameras provide full-dimensional perception and reliably detect objects and obstacles in the robot's vicinity. The wide detection range and the ability to identify objects from a height of just 2 cm make the navigation of these robots particularly safe.

Lidar technology: The integration of Lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) into Pudu robots allows for precise laser scanning of the environment. This technology supports an integrated obstacle detection rate of 99% and enables obstacle avoidance without "blind spots." The intelligent route planning of the robots takes into account the operational environment to determine the optimal course for task completion.

Safety and Efficiency

Through the combination of these technologies, Pudu Robotics offers guaranteed safety in obstacle avoidance. The robots can perform up to 5,400 obstacle detections per minute and can stop within 0.5 seconds if an obstacle is detected. This rapid response time not only enhances safety but also improves efficiency in operational processes.

The advanced sensors and intelligent navigation algorithms of Pudu Robotics enable the robots to autonomously adapt and navigate optimal paths through complex environments. Companies seeking a reliable and efficient solution to automate their operations will find Pudu Robotics' robots to be a valuable resource.
